Micro blogging site, Twitter, has restored the verified account of Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, after external attempts made by person’s suspected to be hackers to gain unauthorised access to the account failed.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande, had, on Saturday said, “there were failed external attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Vice President’s Twitter Account. Since, we have been in contact with Twitter, securing the account, and forestalling a reoccurrence. The VP will continue to actively communicate with our citizens.”
All through Saturday, the account seemed temporarily down, as the usual image of the VP on his handle had been removed with quite a number of tweets deleted and the blue badge introducing it as a verified account removed.
