Bello Muhammed Matawalle, governor of Zamfara State has reassured the people of the state of their safety.
Naija News reports that the Zamfara state Governor while reacting to the recent killing of nine soldiers, suspected to be officers of the Nigerian Army.
In his reaction, the Zamfara State Governor also assures the non-indigenes in the state, particularly those doing business in the state of their safety and the safety of their businesses.
The Governor said that he had instructed the combined forces of the army, police and other security agencies to be watchful and intensify more efforts with the aim of preventing the reoccurrence of the ugly incident.
Governor Matawalle encouraged the people to always endeavour to report any suspicious movement of people to the security agencies in the state.
In his reaction, the Zamfara state Governor re-emphasized that the resolve of his government was to ensure perfect security of lives and properties in the state.
“The fight against criminal elements would not be treated with a mere wave of the hand,” he assured.
“I am very sure that security is the responsibility of all and not the responsibility of the government alone,” he added.
